Approaching God and the Zero Point Field

First, let's consider this 4-minute description of God

Before I explore the topic of God and the Zero Point Field in my next post, I’m compelled to first share my view of God — to offer for our consideration a working definition and description of God and of God’s Being and Essence. I’ll try to do that as briefly as possible — in the next 4 minutes — in this post.

I’ll set aside for our purposes here “Christian theology proper” (Paterology, Christology, and pneumatology) and describe how I view the Creator God from eternity to Christ’s Incarnation — whom our ancestors named Jehovah, Yahweh, YHVH, or (for me) Yehovahe — all meaning “The Being” or “The Great I AM”. Whether this also describes al-Lah and the ultimate Divine Being or Creator God of some other faiths (or in various versions of mysticism) I’ll leave entirely to your judgment.

(I offer not one original theological thought here. I’m an orthodox Swedenborgian Christian who looks for commonalities with other Christian, Western, and Eastern faiths and mystics. As a Swedenborgian Christian, I have an extremely high Christology, maybe the highest there is, beginning with Christ’s death and Glorification, but I’m leaving that out of this piece entirely.)

Here is my view of the Creator God from eternity to the Incarnation:

The Essence of God has always been, is, and always will be Wise Love. The essence of God is united infinite and eternal Love and Wisdom. God is Wise Love.

Love is the motive, intention, or desire to be useful to — and to be a blessing to — another being from one’s own being. Love is pure motives.

Wisdom is perceiving, understanding, and thinking from Love.

God is Love: God wills Goodness. Everything that emerges, proceeds, and flows from Divine Love is Divine Goodness.

God is Wisdom: God perceives, understands, and thinks Truth. Everything that emerges, proceeds, and flows from Divine Wisdom is Divine Truth. And Wisdom and Truth are the means for manifesting Love and Goodness.

And so the Essence of God is Love Itself, Goodness Itself, Wisdom Itself, and Truth Itself — eternal and infinite in all Their Divine perfection.

God’s Love and Goodness are real substances, often experienced as Divine Warmth.

God’s Wisdom and Truth are real substances, often experienced as Divine Light.

God’s Being is absolute Being in Itself, absolute Existence in Itself, absolute Reality in Itself, and absolute Form in Itself — uncreated, self-subsisting, self-sufficient, eternal, infinite, and with the intrinsic capacity to become manifest.

As uncreated eternity beyond time and uncreated infinity beyond space, God’s Being is infinite in relationship to time and space, supersedes and transcends time and space, and is infinitely free of time and space.

God’s Wise Love — which is supernatural yet substantial Energy — has since Creation emanated and radiated out in abundance and centered Itself in an immense and imperishable Divine Flame. And this Divine Flame forms a single Divine Sun.

God’s active Divine Essence and Energy — the Warmth of God’s Love and Goodness and the Light of God’s Wisdom and Truth — have proceeded and flowed out from God via this Divine Sun. This Divine Sun, which God brought forth out of God’s very Self, has been the Divine Wise Love that is most near God. And this Sun has been the spiritually visible origin of God’s Wise Love.

This Divine Sun has always most nearly encompassed the inmost Essence of God, which centers Itself in the midst of this Divine Sun. Radiant and lucid, God’s Wise Love glows and beams infinitely and eternally. Untempered, God’s Wise Love is spiritually brighter and warmer than myriads of stars, ablaze and dazzling in full resplendent glory.

Transcendent yet immanently present, God has always been the Sustainer of the universe — the ongoing Creator of the universe. Proceeding from God’s Essence is God’s Divine Power, Knowledge, and Presence. God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

God is omnipotent, consistent with God’s own Order. God’s omnipotence is a purposefully limited omnipotence. God acts in accord with the laws inscribed on Divine Love from Divine Wisdom. And His Power in the spiritual universe and the natural universe proceeds and operates in accord with His Order, through God’s infinite extension of the Sphere of His Divine Power.

God is omniscient. God senses, perceives, and knows all things as they are and all events as they happen. God knows which events and which beings are in accord with Divine Order and which are not.

God is omnipresent. Through all that God has created, the Essence of the Lord is omnipresent in nature, time, and space. God is always and everywhere present. God is immanently and intimately present.

God’s Essence is present in every created entity. Love is the Essence that forms all things and binds and unifies them with each other. Love holds things in connection.

God is present everywhere and yet God is not in space. Divinity is present to everything in the universe, yet no created being is a continuation of God. God is not extended but Divinity is present everywhere in what is extended.

God created the spiritual universe and natural universe — and has sustained them — from Divine Love, Wisdom, Goodness, and Truth, with all their inherent power. From God’s Divine Sun has radiated out an atmosphere of Divine Goodness and Truth, in which God’s Power can operate. This Divine atmosphere has always been the glowing fountain and common carrier of Divine Energy and Information throughout the natural universe.

(And it is this atmosphere, in my view, that is the Zero Point Field.)
